I have listed to Hal Freedman's Classical Soul Volume II album, and I feel the classical arraignments that Hal has chosen for this album are superb. My two favorite pieces are, Robert Schumann's "Romanze in F Sharp Minor," and the other is Edvard Grieg's "Lyric Piece Op. 54 No Notturno. I listen to this album everyday, and I feel a sense of inner peace after listing to it. Hal's Classical Soul Volume II has captured the true meaning of what classical music is meant to be.

It's hard for any lover of piano not to be moved by Hal's playing. I'm awaiting the full cd release!

I have heard Hal Freedman interpret Classical piano works for many years and I think of him as a true musician of the highest caliber."The Maiden and the Nightingale" is an elegant piece of music, refined and majestic, and Hal's interpretation of this piece is brilliant. My favotites are his interpretation of the Chopin Ballade No.1 and the Chopin Nocturne OP.27, No.2.
There are many technically accomplished pianists in the world today, but Hal's ability to move the listener on an emotional level, and give life to these timeless classics, makes all the difference. His new CD is already a winner in my book.
